Use different throwable items in a single match: Fortnite Season 8 Week 6 Guide

Fortnite Season 8 has had its ups and downs, but this week is definitely an up. You’ll be running all over the map finding animal statues, treasure, and more, making this week’s challenges some to remember.

Of course, there’s still a few generic challenges to fill out the week. One of these challenges has you using 2 different throwable items in a single game. It’s not the most exciting challenge, but it’s definitely the easiest way you can land 10 battle stars. Check out this guide for a complete list of throwables and the best way to finish the “Use different throwable items in a single match” challenge in Fortnite season 8 week 6.

Completing the Challenge

This challenge is straightforward and easy. You have to use 2 different throwables in the same match. So you can’t spread this one out over the course of a couple of games, but you can pretty easily find both of those throwables in the same match.

Throwables are found around the map just like any other item in the game, but they have a set number of uses. Most of them are explosives, but a couple of them have other effects, so get familiar with them to incorporate them into your strategy.

Throwables List

There are 5 throwable items in Fortnite, and each one acts a little differently. Here is a run through of these items so that you know what to do if you find them. They all have an arc when you throw them, and a set range that they can be thrown. Otherwise, they’re all unique.

Boogie Bomb

The boogie bomb doesn’t actually do any damage. Instead, anyone that gets caught in its blast will be forced to dance for 5 seconds. While the bomb doesn’t do any damage, it’s a great opportunity for you to swoop in and get a few eliminations.

Stink Bomb

The Stink Bomb releases a cloud of gas that damages players over time. It’s not the explosion that you may expect out of a bomb, but it’s got some tactical advantages. While you may have a tough time getting eliminations with this, it’s a great way to clear an area of opponents.

Dynamite

Dynamite is exactly what you think it is. It’s a high powered explosive, and it does extra damage to structures. It has a fuse, so it takes 5 seconds after you throw it before it explodes. It’s the best way to take out enemy structures, and can easily take out a few enemies in the process.

Clinger

The clinger is a throwable item with a plunger attached. It sticks to whatever surface it hits before exploding. It’s basically a sticky grenade, and you can use it to take out enemies and structures.

Impulse Grenade

The Impulse Grenade is another non-lethal throwable. Instead of a fiery blast, you have a powerful pulse that knocks players back. It affects both teammates and opponents, so be careful when using it.

The best strategy

There are 2 ways you can complete this challenge. Depending on how quickly you want to finish the challenge, you’ll want to either incorporate throwables into you usual playing, or you can just quickly throw the item to get the task done.

Incorporating the throwables into your strategy is much more fun and can give you some surprising results. You can cause mayhem by taking down structures with dynamite or making your foes dance. Otherwise, just toss each item once, and make sure to find 2 different throwables.

These challenges are a great way to become familiar with everything Fortnite has to offer. If you’ve never really used throwables before, this challenge is a great place to start. You’ll increase your options when it comes to strategy, and you’ll get a whole battle pass level out of it. It’s just another great way to participate in the Fortnite community.
